my dad passed away at home in bed sometime between 1am monday night and 4pm the next day, he was a barman and worked long hours before his death as he was training another bargirl in he was a popular barman in the saggart arms pub, he was delighted he got a good bargirl as it meant he didnt have to work the long hours he did ithe days before hand he got home from work late that night, i remember i was still up wit my mam, i was pregnant on my first daughter nicole, shes 5 now i had her 5 weeks after my dad died, i told him to go to bed he was so tired and complaining of a head ache he took 2 solphdene and went to bed thats the last i spoke to him again, i slept very late the next day and when i got up all my family were downstairs watchin a film, i remember askin why da was still asleep and thought he must have been so tired from all the work he done all week so didnt tink anything else off him still bein in bed at 3pm, my sister had my nephew came down and he was askin for his grandad so my brother who just arrived in from school said he wud bring him up to him, he came back down and said my dad looked pale and his lips were blue he was 11 at the time and thought my dad was messing as he was a very funny person always full of jokes, so my oldest brother went up to check on him we were all screaming and frightened by then because he was roaring at the top of the stairs for someone to ring an ambulance, i think at the time i went into autopilot and rang an ambulance i cant really remember everything but i said something like my dad wont wake up and to come quick, my brother wouldnt let anybody go upstairs we were all screaming crying, about 10 minutes later an ambulance and fire brigade arrived and broke the news that my dad was dead probably a few hours, i will always remmeber that sad day, and i miss him always, it wasnt until 3 months later we found out that he died of a brain heomaroge. rip dad love you always, emma, nicole, shannon, jessica and david
